1. Gather all the Christmas decorations before decorating your tree

Every year we buy something new for the house or Christmas tree, often you can't see the wood for the trees. Therefore, before you start decorating your Christmas tree, it is smart to choose which accessories and decorations you want to use this year. Think about what style you want to put up this year and gather all the necessary decorations, such as garlands, baubles and lights, that match your chosen style. Do you prefer a colorful Christmas tree or are you more of a fan of a clean Christmas tree? After you have chosen a style, sort all the Christmas decorations by color and collect what fits the style you want to put up. 2. Make sure your Christmas tree is sturdy

Before you get started decorating your Christmas tree, of course you want your tree to be sturdy. So that you can enjoy it for a long time. 3. Work from top to bottom

Time for the fun stuff: decorating your Christmas tree. A common mistake is to just hang all the baubles and decorations on the tree. Instead, try to work in a structured way. Try to work from top to bottom or vice versa. Start with the Christmas lights, wrap them evenly around the tree and then hang the garlands in from top to bottom. Tip: using a Christmas reel makes it really easy for yourself to hang garlands in the tree. Then you can hang the ornaments in your Christmas tree. Hang your favourite baubles in the tree first, followed by the smaller or more basic baubles.
