We are Sunware - Perfectly Organised!

Sunware; it once started as a small-scale trading company in household products. We are now the internationally operating specialist in contemporary plastic storage solutions. After all, with a range that extends from lunch boxes to Christmas ball boxes, we not only ensure a tidy home. Our products are also practical, sustainable and innovative, and are really worth seeing. Perfectly organised in every respect.

How it began

On a sunny Sunday afternoon in the 1960s, two friends, Herman Mudde and Theo Hendriks, started “Sunday Inventive Products”. The company's range included everything from egg cups to laundry baskets, but they were always self-designed or sourced products with a little twist. A name change followed in 1978, and the company gradually focused more and more on storage. Sunware was born.

In 1995, three enthusiastic employees took over from the owners. Roland Roolvink (CCO), Leon Kuypers (CFO) and AndrĂ© Jacobs (CTO) - still together at the helm - focused from then on ‘storage concepts’. It resulted in the defined product groups we still know today. Storage boxes, food storage units, waste bins, cleaning and laundry storage units and other organisers, to be precise. Always modular and functional, and also each one unique.

With an eye for the world

We now distribute our Sunware range worldwide from our 20,000 mÂČ Tilburg warehouse. These are products in both timeless shades and the latest fashion colours. They are largely made from recycled plastic, and ultimately fully recyclable. Since 2011, we even manufacture a significant percentage in our own production hall in Waalwijk. This ensures an even more qualitative, personal, flexible and sustainable process. As far as we are concerned, the use of Sunware products can therefore justifiably be called “well-thought-out storage”.

Incidentally, our family business takes a sustainable approach on several fronts. We focus on long-term employee and customer relationships, and we also take the term “corporate social responsibility” seriously. For years, for instance, we have offered work to people distanced from the labour market, ensured diversity on the shop floor and invested heavily in a responsible production chain. In short: an approachable company with an out-of-the-box approach and an eye for the world and the environment. After all, they do not say for nothing: he who saves some, has some...
